About the Mahabharata :- The Mahabharata (महाभारत) is the longest epic poem ever composed, with over 100,000 verses — making it roughly ten times the combined length of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. Written by the sage Vyasa, it tells the story of the great Kurukshetra War between the five Pandava brothers and their hundred Kaurava cousins, a conflict that reshaped the very fabric of dharma. But the Mahabharata is not merely a war epic. It is an encyclopedia of human experience — containing within it the Bhagavad Gita, philosophical treatises, stories within stories, moral parables, legal codes, and spiritual teachings. As the text itself declares: “What is found here may be found elsewhere. What is not found here will not be found anywhere.” The epic explores the grey areas of morality — where duty conflicts with love, where truth conflicts with compassion, and where even the righteous must make impossible choices. It teaches that dharma is not a simple set of rules but a living, breathing principle that must be understood in context.
